| Bio: | Name: Gray Age: 13 Height: 5ft Point-of-canon/AU: Lieutenant to Chaos AU, taken five years after he's taken in an attack on the Boeshane Penninsula, and about a month after he's rescued by the Doctor. He's just left The Library, and he'd been hoping they'd go someplace where he isn't running for his life. He's not sure that this is such a place. Brief personality description: Angry at the world, afraid he's the only one left of his family, all too willing to lash out at others, vacillates between defiance of and subservience to authority figures, clings to any sign of kindness. Thinks his brother is dead because he refuses to think he'd leave Gray behind. Expects cruelty, and is suspicious of kindness. Brief History: He was born on the Boeshane Peninsula, the younger of two boys. Spent a mostly happy childhood with his family until there was an attack on the settlement when he was eight. He was captured, and taken away by the aliens, who kept him alive, though in poor conditions, and making his life painful and miserable. He clung to the belief that his brother would find him for months, and when that didn't happen, he started to think he was dead. He still hoped for rescue, but he didn't really believe it would come until a strange blue box appeared in the hold he was left in when his captors weren't tormenting him. The Doctor rescued him, and several others, but while the rest were grateful to return to civilization, Gray didn't, and the Doctor took him on - after a long argument that Gray could only hear one side of. After being rescued, he traveled with the Doctor, landing on a colony planet centuries after his time, and found themselves in the middle of a civil war. Gray wanted to help the colonists - up until they created a girl out of the Doctor's DNA - forcibly extracted. Gray argued and when they tried to restrain him and the Doctor, he fought, all teeth and fists and feet. When they finally subdued him, they locked the Doctor, Gray, and the girl into a cell. Gray asked the girl's name, and when she said she didn't have one, he called her Jenny, after one of his few friends outside his family back home. She got them out, and after they got to the center of the underground city, and found a solution, Gray was more than happy to leave. Especially when the leader of the human faction tried to shoot the Doctor, and wounded Jenny. Gray wanted to shoot him, protesting it was only fair when the Doctor told him to leave it. It took the Doctor asking him if he wanted to stay here, or travel with them - the Doctor and Jenny - for Gray to sulkily agree not to hurt the man. He was still upset over the incident when they got a signal from a place called The Library, and he hoped for something to happen that would give him a chance to hurt something. Only he ended up doing a lot of running for his life from shadows. Or rather, what was living in the shadows. He went to help River with getting everything ready to get the people back while Jenny stayed with the Doctor and the one remaining other member of the expedition. When the Doctor and Jenny caught up with them, Gray was confused by Jenny being ill and unsteady on her feet, and more than a bit scared. The Doctor didn't take time to explain until they were on the TARDIS, at which point he told Gray - and River (though Gray really doesn't understand why they have to bring her along, he doesn't particularly like her) - about regeneration, and that at some point, he'll probably regenerate himself. The Doctor than asks if they want to go to Barcelona, while setting the controls. Only Gray doesn't think this is where the Doctor meant to go - especially since the Doctor is looking almost murderous when they step outside. Update: Gray traveled with the Doctor and Jenny and River for another year, before asking the Doctor if they could visit Earth, because he wanted to know what the Doctor was running from. The Doctor tried to dissuade him from the idea, and Gray finally snapped at him that if he didn't want to stay, that was fine, he could explore by himself. They landed in London, 2014, at Torchwood. Gray wasn't sure what to make of the Master, but he forgot about that, as well as his irritation with the Doctor, when he saw Jack returning, looking devastated - he'd just been searching for Gray, and found the ship where he'd been, and been told that the boy he was looking for was dead. Gray chooses to stay on Earth when the Doctor is ready to leave, to stay with his brother. And because he's angry with the Doctor for not telling him his brother was here, and for not helping his brother look for him. He's been there for two years, mostly learning everything he can and trying to make things work with Jack - which is sometimes a very rocky road - when he steps through the door to his flat in Cardiff, and ends up back in Whoville, in the hotel lobby.
